The Democrats waited since the 1930s (earlier, even?) to do this; they had a long-range plan. It was in the open, but we didn't take them seriously.
So we do the same thing and teach our forerunners to learn from our mistakes.
Doesn't work that way. You can't simply do those things in a communist or authoritarian style government. Study history. The only way out of a authoritarian government is a revolution.

We are way freer than communists. We can do a lot.
Sitting here talking about how we aren't free while we could be securing what we have and fighting for the future is a better use of time.
