I supported Bernie in 2016 because I was functionally retarded.
My Dad wrote in Trump's name since 2000 for President.
2015: I go for coffee after 3rd shift every morning to my Dads house to talk politics and eventually laugh at Maury Paternity test results. We watch as Trump wins the primaries.

Cut to my Dad in the Hospital suffering from lung Cancer after being a 30 year veteran of the Baltimore City fire Department (rescue 1) the day after they called the election for Trump. The nurses were crying outside his room after the Hillary loss (York PA hospital...fuck them). They were glaring at me as I entered mY Dad's room because my dad always had to wear his MAGA hat even when he slept.
"Dad...he won!"
My dad told me "we can't watch the news cause the nurses said the tv is broken"
I find the remote and turn the TV on to FOX where they are calling the election for Trump.
He couldn't believe his eyes. "REALLY?!"

My Dad died in December of 2016. If your old enough...he ran a video library during the Patriot Movement of the 90s and early 2000s that distributed vhs' around the world of unreleased Documentaries and films on the NWO and conspiracies. He never believed all of them but felt like people had the right to view them. (He actually had an on air fight with Alex Jones over the WACO monument where AJ took full credit for).
He never got to see his Granddaughter or me as a die hard Trump supporter. Kinda sucked. He would have loved this site.

I’m very familiar with all the vhs tapes running the circuits in those days before the internet exploded and then hid content... we used to copy vhs to vhs and share lots of “stuff”. I began around 92, so there’d be very few of those vids that I haven’t seen or shared. For example, Clinton chronicles or the Waco stuff.. good times and bad times... just sharing shit your dad would understand... mine is on his way out ... hope that God blesses their souls.
Fun fact...trolling existed even back in the day. My dad would get David Icke tapes and half way through would be hard-core porn on it...so we would have to fast forward every tape sent to us just to make sure it wasn't a joke tape sent to us.

I'm 33 so my dad was an older dad. He was stationed at Langley Air Force Base in the 60s as a firefighter on the flightline. He watched as the Lunar Lander couldn't even make it off the ground then exploded. He said he put out so many fires from that POS which made him doubt the moon landing. Thats what got him into "the movement".

Nice story and just wanted to say you weren't as originally dumb as you think for supporting Bernie. Bernie supporters believe in the people over the government/elitist as well which I would take any day over people who buy into the statist government types like Hillary.
I was very into breaking up big businesses like Amazon and Google. The way he folded after he was cheated out of the primary made me really reevaluate. They say election fraud doesn't exist yet Donna Brazile wrote a book detailing how they stole it from Bernie.

He asked me what I thought about 9/11 and explained to me all the anomalies that happened. Being the curious, open minded person I am, I asked him for more info on the matter and he gave me a burned copy of a documentary called "In Plane Sight".
I watched the doc and ever since then, I've been on my journey for truth. Since then, I have returned the favor that gentleman gave me. TRUTH and FACTS.
