If he and the military does have a plan to rectify this obvious attempt at a coup, you'd think they'd not want to give anything away as to location or plans for protection and absolute secrecy. So he and family are absolutely quiet until the plan unfolds. Creating a deep fake video in this scenario only makes sense if it substantially obscures intel that would give away location...which I imagine it does. Or Trump's injured and they can't show that for morale reasons.

Or the military and intelligence community have mutinied and locked him and his family up and are playing out the clock until Biden is confirmed. The deep fake video makes sense here as it keeps the rubes (us) placated that the mutiny hasn't occurred.
The only thing that gives me comfort is that the DEMS and GOP are still in a panic mode and that only makes sense in scenario one...unless the mutiny is not in their name and the military want some other leader.
The fact the Trumps aren't communicating and there is a weird video is not comforting. Just my musings on the very confusing matters at hand.
Here's my take on that:
We know that deep state owns media and social media. They have blocked trump's accounts. Even though they are claiming he has twitter access, He doesn't really have twitter access (evidenced by the fact his latest video was uploaded by twitter studio, not his usual iphone upload). The recent deep fake video was put out by twitter / deep state. not Trump. This is basically a chess move by deep state.
It is their unspoken veiled threat to trump - Not his safety per say, but basically the deep state is conveying the message: "look, we can make you say whatever we want." They're getting really close to making trump say he concedes without actually putting those words in his mouth. The implied threat is if Trump declassifies the pedo videos of politicians, or whatever else he has, then Twitter/Deep State will do a deep fake of trump conceding.
Then Trump will be in the position of having to tell the nation "no I didn't concede, that was a deep fake video." Which, if Trump normalizes the concept of Deep faking important videos, it will allow the politicians to claim the same thing about whatever videos trump declassifies of them - The politicians can then claim they are not pedos, and those videos trump "declassified" were deep fakes, and use that as further narrative about that the evil menace trump put out to wreak havoc on his way out. They're building the narrative to prevent him from going scorched earth.
I hope Trump has something planned and up his sleeve to deal with this.
