Election officials are just ignoring them. Where is the line exactly between a subpoena you can just ignore vs one you will get tossed for ignoring? When does the the legislature just say "oh well" when you ignore their supoena's? Or is that just how they work now? Do you indeed just throw them away? I cannot recall a time where the news said "the legislature issued a subpoena" and anything ever came of it. There are probably tons of examples where they do matter. If you know of any please let me know because I am thinking they might be the same thing as getting cooties. Sounds bad but in reality they are make believe. Or maybe I just need to legally change my name to "The Honorable John Doe" and anyone will just assume I hold a royal governmental position of fuck off when it comes to any legal threat. Hmmm.

I would try to them what they want. Maybe they plan on changing election laws, and want to learn what happened first.
Well, if you are CERTAIN it is a legit subpoena, they can issue a bench warrant for your arrest if you do not show up.
I suggest calling a lawyer asap.
So state legislatures issue bogus subpoena's? That would be the cootie I was referring to above. (state legislature subpoena)=(likely cootie). This would make much of what I am seeing in lack of follow through on these make sense.
Well I have not seen it so I cannot speak on its legitimacy.
I get fake letters all the time, I thought everyone did.
My bottom line was that you should consider getting a lawyer, because if it is real and you blow it off, you could absolutely be arrested. It is not a certainty, but a distinct possibility.
Interesting. I don't recall ever getting a fake letter. Spam yes, but a straight out fake fraudulent letter? No. From the other responses all immediately saying 'is it legit?' (thanks pedes) I am thinking this is the actual best first step. But the question still remains, why do people in Gov seem to be able to completely ignore them? I guess they have armies of pede paid lawyers to make it not worth the effort for the spineless state. Or they know where the little bodies are buried.
Oh, well there are two different rules for the rich and powerful vs the rest of us.
We gotta follow EVERY LAW, EVERY RULE, Toe every line or we are apt to get fucked.
They do as they please. I knew one very wealthy fella (over 100 mil) he told me that if he saw a sign that said this action is punishable by a fine, that he didn't consider it a crime, just a tax.
You need to contact a lawyer immediately if you're positive it's a legit subpoena
Or just contact a lawyer, and let the lawyer decide if it's a legit subpoena.
Call the legislature and see if they sent it
