Conservatism is relative to what's being conserved. The Founding Fathers can't be described as conservatives, because they were implementing something entirely new. In fact, I'm not sure I count as a conservative anymore. The Constitution is a memory at this point. Wanting to bring something like it back makes me a liberal progressive, at this point.
