It’s hard for me to take for granted that he was well prepared and the stars are aligning when I can’t even be certain the man and his family are even alive.

All we have to go off of are some highly suspect videos, some out of character tweets, and a two minute statement from a press secretary who seemed to be scared shitless. Other than that it’s been radio silence from his whole family practically since he walked off the stage after saying he’d march with the people to the capitol building.

I’m trying not to assume the worst, but there’s so many red flags right now. So many things only seem to add up in a few of those worst case scenarios. Why was the Valkyrie so shaken? Why isn’t Don jr doing interviews, tweeting up a storm, etc? Why would deepfakes even be necessary in an optimistic interpretation of events? I could accept that Trump might need to stay out of the spotlight for a little while if circumstances called for it, but why would his whole family need to go incommunicado? There’s no proof he’s in Texas. Just that some planes the President could use are there. We haven’t seen live footage from any of his family. We don’t have eyes-on to confirm fucking anything. We have hope and insinuations.

I really fucking hope I’m just tilting at windmills here. I hope he and his family are safe, and that he still holds the power of the office of the Presidency. But I’m really fucking worried. I’m worried that the Trumps might be the Romanovs 2.0.
