wow, and to think, I was literally just telling my wife a few hours ago that if we do loose the WH to Biden then Ted Cruz would be on my short list of people I would throw my support behind if he ran for President.
Not any more.
Fuck, is there noone that will step up and shield themselves with MAGA?
Perhaps Howley, we will see. MAGA needs someone to take the bull by the horns right now, who will step up and show balls?
Only trust in the MAGA community and Trump. GOP doesn't deserve us anymore. They had the BEST and STRONGEST base the world has ever seen, but they threw it all away and shoved us under the bus. Never forget their betrayal. Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on us.
I've never trusted Cruz and remember him being a piece of shit during the 2016 RNC. He redeemed himself immensely in my eyes the last 3 years and the fact he actually objected yesterday made me feel as you did. I am not surprised he is saying this, he wants to save his own future now.
I really don't mind him disagreeing with things the president has said in the past but him claiming that Trump "crossed a line" yesterday bugs me. He could grow a thicker spine, you don't have to agree with everything Trump has ever said but don't start joining in on the lynch mob that is forming to blame the capitol event on Trump and impeach him. We will not forget that.
100% agree pede. Hell, I didn't always agree with everything Trump said or did. I did not agree on his rhetoric on bump stocks, I did not agree with his pump and dump of cash into the system, I thought that he was not hard enough on China and should have pushed to prove we were in a state of cyberwarfare with them, but in the end I was 100% behind him as our leader.
I have my doubts any of these assholes have even watched Trumps speech yesterday, they are simply relying on what they have read in the press. They were all in chambers while the speech happened.
Either way, at this point any politician trying to save a career rather then the nation is dead to me.
He did not withdraw an objection, his objection was to Arizona which lead to the 2 hour debate. The objection had to come from a house member and a senator, he signed on to object to Arizona and maintained it, he also objected to Pennsylvania with someone else. The objections were never going to overturn the certification and were largely symbolic but he did not withdraw his objection.
Hawley is showing great signs. He's learned from the best. But I still ain't gonna trust him. I only trust in Trump and perhaps Jr. No one else UNTIL they prove otherwise. And right now I only see a few people remaining loyal...
We cant trust others to step up anymore, we have to do it ourselves, i dont know how far I will get but I will run myself against both democrat and republicans. Make America Great Again or nothing.

Cruz objected but then essentially withdrew it.
He is Lyin' Ted.

Guess I misremembered, but he still called our people terrorists.
