Bernie Sanders is an Independent.

Edit: in some states it is 'unaffiliated', 'No Party', or 'unenrolled'

Edit 2: Some of you think voting matters. I don't. Some of you think the republican party can be commandeered. I don't.

Deregistering from the republican party is at a minimum about SENDING A MESSAGE.

I'm all about it. Only reason I stayed registered R was to vote in the primaries FOR TRUMP based candidates.

I.d bet the farm no one at that Trump Rally in GA or on the 6th would say, "I'm a republican". That ship sailed for morst of us long ago. We've been trying to figure out what we are & if there' an already established party that supports whatever we are. I haven't found one of those that I trust. This post is the most helpful bit of info I've come across so far
