Gotta say I thought the same thing. I envisioned at least a full occupation of the Chamber of the House, with patriots refusing to leave until a full audit of the election was negotiated. We had the entire Congress cowered in the basement, and the entire Capitol Police force overwhelmed. And then nothing.
Trumps goal was to pressure republicans through a protest to agree to having pence not ratify the states in dispute. This would force action either in the courts or local govts. Problem is the republicans didn’t agree and we got the outcome we got.
Breaking stuff and shooting people only damages the cause.
Not the right timing, the vote and objections were supposed to be heard. A lot broke down that day, this was a small battle, battles are won and lost, I'm not even sure I'd call it a battle but so be it, even the lowest raking soldier knows when something is "off" with what is happening.
I'd say if folks are called again and Trump truly does go out with a whimper there's a lot of us at that point that feel like there's nothing left to lose except Liberty.
