I mean this unironically. I love Trump and the Constitution, but ultimately my hope is not bound to these. The Constitution can be subverted (it already became kind of a trash document when it included the 16th amendment tbh). Trump is old and I am young. He was never going to be the long-term answer to any and all of my concerns. I see here a bunch of people filled with despair and it breaks my heart. We were never going to make America or any place great separate from repentance and trust in Christ. If you were putting your hope in human political institutions all this time, this should be a good wake up call. They will ALWAYS inevitably disappoint you. Yet there are believers who toil under the boot of the communist regime in China who are filled with hope and joy. They cannot take that away from you. It's about the only thing the wicked forces of this world can never take away from you. Lean into it. We all need that hope and joy now more than ever.
