You don't, unless you plan to quit your job altogether. The IRS WILL garnish your wages, and your employer will assist. Even if you changed your W-4 to exempt, your employer would never be complicit in your tax evasion.

I love and get the sentiment, I really do, but people need to quit spreading this notion here. It won't work.

Was an honest question, wasn't trying to spread disinfo. Will remove.

You do t have to! I was sincerely trying to give an honest answer. Like I said, I totally get the sentiment! It just isn't practical in modern terms.

Become a Native American. That’s how a lot of us do it.

I don't have the option as I'm not Native American.

During the last government shutdown, they said refunds might not go out so I changed my witholding to 10 and no federal came out. It was late in the year so they already had what I would owe. No need to give any more if I might not get my refund.

I thought about changing it to 10 if Biden actually becomes president and just stop filing federal.

Talk to your company about going 1099 contract for you.

You're earnings will still be registered with the IRS though, so you will most likely be audited eventually.

Hell, I'm fixing to quit and buy some land somewhere and never have the government in my life again at this point.

They'll still be there. You will have to pay property taxes as well.

Ask your employer to redo your tax forms for witholding.

Bump your allowances up to whatever is needed to stop paying taxes, I think on most forms a normal allowance is 0-1, bump that up to 9.

The IRS will deep dick audit you. Not worth it unless we all do it at once.
