Trump has a lot of banker friends. And a tremendous ability to bring in money, from both his businesses and his political followers. Initially he would only need some private investors or private equity funds, and once a platform was profitable, he would have no trouble getting commercial bank lending or other services. Doubt he'd want investment banks, because he probably wouldn't ever want to take it public -- that's never been part of his business strategy in the past.
