It's where the audience is. If you want to spread the word of a movement, you don't spread it to those who are already a part of it.
I was banned from Twitland last week and I think it's been good for me. Parler and Gab are alright, but I pull up my feed and it's consistently uninteresting. Both platforms are chock full of groypers and grifters looking for website clicks from the Facebook boomer faction of conservatives. The rest are plan-trusters grasping at straws for an 13th-hour victory that isn't coming. Social media is no longer interesting or fun. I spent a lot of my time on Twatter owning the libs and that's one thing that's difficult to do on alt-tech since everyone's the same. If I have anything to say, it falls only upon the ears of those who say the same thing. That's not productive or meaningful in any way.
I still take a peek at it a couple of times per day but all in all I think I'm happy occupying my time with more meaningful activities like writing music. (and there is that whole job thing, too lol)
