GA senate was lost because McCONnell refused to go forward with the $2000 stimulus. And he knew it would cost the GA seats, but he did it anyways.

The only way they can air a sense of "legitimacy " to whats coming is by allowing the Republicans to go back to "we're trying to stop the demz but golly gee we just can't " all while they work together. This is being done by trying to go scorched earth on trumpism by making it socially unacceptable and impossible to promote America first policies and also by painting trump as some despot who tried to take over congress because some people barged into their ivory tower.
