Unless the amount is huge, it won't make a difference. And it might actually put some people in real harm's way, because it will be easier to go after a select few than a huge majority.

IRS already has access to your bank accounts they would just garnish (steal) wages other wise im all for not paying.

Good point. Those checks we all got helped them update all of our banking information too.

That's what I'm saying. I don't think we're going to get huge numbers to do it. People are too scared because the IRS is too powerful.

If you're self employed perhaps you could pull this off, but if you are not then the federal tax is withheld from your paycheck. So the government takes their bite before passing it to you. That essentially makes a tax revolt impossible

No, that is not the current law. The IRS can put a tax lien on your property if you have property.
