My best guess is someone gave her the (translated) court proceedings of this file, which is real, and put in allegations about this guy hacking the us as well, which there seem to be no information about in Italian media.
I have found confirmation that the accused man is being investigated and will probably be arrested, for cyber crimes, but not done against the US, rather he did them against a local Italian firm to basically illicitly access and transfer funds from said organization (Leonardo) to his own account.
Just a crook that happens to have worked for the Italian cyber security agency and misused his clearance to embezzled money and possibly sell sensitive data.
The investigation is still ongoing, and she said Trump asked for proof because he was worried it would be a fake like the Russia hoax.
The American government has no control over the investigation at all, Italy's conservative side of their government does. So the best our corrupt government can hope for is to censor it from us, but they can't censor it from Italy.
