The problem is parler is closed to you unless you give them your info. You can't just go and read what you want from their main page. In a sense twitter is an open platform. Parler needs to fix that side of things. Let people anonymously read what they choose to.
I tried parler but it was a dud. I got locked out of my account and can't get back in - tried contacting support and they just said to create a new account.
So am on Gab. Works well. Much prefer the user interface.
