I respect your opinion, AMLO is not good with words he has said many stupid things that the media blows out of proportion. Of cause he is not fighting cartels with hugs, he is not that stupid. What he did is he ended the more than 10 years long "war on drugs" that did nothing but create more cartels. He is fighting cartels by freezing their assets, if you want to know more read about the work of Santiago Nieto in the Financial Intelligence Unit.
