They're probably not pros so didn't know to do something like dump the RAM, not just the disk, to a portable storage device. Just do strings on RAM and it'll probably have the passwords in plaintext. I suspect if someone took it they bricked the physical access compromise by grabbing it and left with a brick.
I'm drunk but I've made some programs to help with password hacking and brute forcing specifically to help with breaking FDA by providing an optimal sub search space making it easy to produce human like passwords.
Unfortunately I'm in the UK so don't send me the data. Although I'm trust worthy it's on principle. Don't send it to another party unless you are 100% sure. Never send to aliens.
You can perhaps give a partial though. Maybe the first few blocks and just enough to crack the password. Don't send out the whole slab though to unknown agents.
