yep. or they buy the company for a large sum. If they want it theyll get it, and VPNs dont really do much to protect your information, especailly since the VPN knows who you are, and knows what ips youre using...

Well think of it this way. If your internet provider knows you automatically go to the same IP address everyday they know you're using a VPN and they could just drop your service. There is always a weak link unless you're meeting in person.
