Some of us will be targeted by the IRS for supporting President Trump. Some will lose their jobs while they prosper and grow fat from your labor while laughing at you on Twitter about it. Because this isn't the end, it's not even the middle of our story. It's the start of the beginning. The conditions that got President Trump into the White House are going to be exacerbated in the coming years. Because the fact is this: people have gotten too soft, and soft people accomplish nothing.
We need to suffer a bit. We need to toil and see our works blow away in the breeze. We need to be mocked and broken down a little. We need to have our rights assailed. We won't play their game unless we've no other option, you see. Call it hardening through fire if you want. But we've needed a kick in the ass for some time now. They've learned to infiltrate every aspect of our culture that made us strong; we need to learn how to do the same. That won't ever happen unless we're no longer the culture. We have to be looking from the outside in. Our side has seen itself as not needing to go the "low road" of playing dirty, so we never changed. We need to see that's not a viable solution in the disinformation age. We either adapt or die, and I for one don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon.
