It has become quite clear that there are two groups of people that live in completely different realities, and I don't see these realities as compatible anymore.

It used to be about tax squabbles or immigration etc. Now it has become something completely different. One group of people are shifting towards beliefs and opinions being a punishable offense. The same group is also effectively removing free speech. They are killing anything that resembled a free press. They have suggested packing the courts and similar things to outright prevent the ability of there ever being a fair election again. They are outright calling for the murder of millions based on simply not agreeing with them.

I think both parties would be better off just living separately.

Historically there has been many unions that have been broken, and I think it would greatly benefit both sides if it happened again now.

There can be two separate unions and you can just have trade-agreements etc like other places. Obviously it will take it's toll in the beginning, but in the long run I think it would work out better for both parties.

Just ask yourself, the next time your "friends" tell you that Trump should be executed for his crimes, do you see yourself ever respecting this person ever again? Or trusting them? Or wanting to do anything nice for them?

It is quite clear that Americans are divided and we aren't talking about a small group and minor differences. We are talking MILLIONS disagreeing on fundamental rights.

It's like that friend you have had for a while, and then one day you realize that you have grown apart and decide that it's just best to go your separate ways.

One side is massively indoctrinated and the other side can clearly see the indoctrination but avoid it due to actively seeking out the facts. I don't know what is going happen from here on but our country is never going to be the same again.

Sadly, I agree. America DOES NOT need a violent civil war. America needs a divorce. Sometimes the differences cannot be reconciled.

I've been thinking this basically since the election in November. At the time, I had hope that we'd hold the Senate at least and they would protect us from the incoming socialist garbage, but now its too late and the democrats have proven that they will always rig every election moving forward in their favor. Waiting to see how many votes they needed to win, then finding them in the middle of the night. They did it with Trump and in Georgia just 2 days ago. The republican party is done. America as we knew it is gone forever. And we are not compatible because the left and right are opposed on a fundamental level.

Good news is, if there ends up being a civil war, we'll definitely win that because we have all the Vets, Cops, and all the guns and ammo. Its a lot harder to cheat in a shooting war.

As dyslexics have foretold it will become the untied states of America.

Stick around and find out, Doomer. When will people post actual content and not rambling free associations about the end of life as we know it?
