Guys, I’m not a doomer. I’m hoping Trump has a trick up his sleeve and will save the Republic. I swing between hope and anger everyday, just like y’all. I also realize that Trump is human and he will do what is best for him and his family, as well as the country in whatever circumstance he finds himself. I raise this item as one possibility (of many) , to explain what happened the last few days, not because I think that is what happened, but as speculation and object of discussion.
It could be that by Tuesday it was quite obvious that there wasn’t enough support in the senate or house to reject the fraudulent electors. Also Trump knew Pence wouldn’t pull through, based on his speech Tues night.
Trump knows the system is rigged. He may have known, at this point, though, that he had lost to the deep state, and had to make the best of the bad situation.
Once choice would have been to lose everything; his wealth, possible prison his family destroyed etc. and no future chance at politics, OR make a deal. It could be that he traded a concession for a Senate seat for Lara Trump (using the rugged system) and a chance to run in 2024

Dude, you are creative but delusional. The Trump name is now radioactive. Leftists will torture that family for eternity, just because he challenged the swamp. Avalanches of lawsuits, physical intimidation, vandalizing his properties, you name it.
His only hope is to pull this out, and have a second term of awesomeness by exposing the swamp and really draining it this time. Legacy ensure, he lives out a peaceful retirement and is carved in stone at Mount Rushmore.
