We need to start forming a retrograde plan. Get local TD chapters up on Signal, only problem is trust but verify who is joining your local group. I propose we form local chapters, with regional contacts to link groups. I know there are many people on here that have conducted COIN operations since 2001, and know how they operate. We can do the same. Another option is Threema messenger which is arguably more secure than Signal. Also, if you dont know how to use a Thor/Onion browser, better start figuring it out.

I'm on it, but I'm wondering why do we just blindly trust that Signal is safe? Couldn't it be a place to put all the seedy characters to monitor?
Signal is safe...its used by people that need it to be safe, unlike WhatsApp
Signal requires a phone number.
Get a VPN. Use it all the time.
I use a VPN as well. My argument is just because I'm on signal with my phone number doesnt matter, its if they can read my messages that counts. I use the VPN to hide my location of where I am sending messages from, i.e. the IP address. I believe Threema does not require a phone number
Have not heard of Threema. Will have to do research. I've not been using encryption because I don't know who I can trust.
