Just got an email from our principal on how to talk to our students about the “crisis” in our nation’s capital this past week.

I took my time thinking of a response. I started with saying that we came back in September with a focus on the BLM message being an excuse for their violence and that we needed to accept that. (Note: Since Returning from the summer break we’ve had a few webinars/faculty meetings about racial injustice, inequality and white privilege. Apparently In racist without even actively being racist). So my response continued.

I asked that we should focus on why these people are frustrated and not the “violence” that occurred for about an hour. I also noted that we may have a few students that share the frustration of those at the capital and they should have a voice in our community.

I was basically told that right now wouldn’t be a good time. That was followed by a Biden quote to end the response.

So it looks like this is my last year teaching here in NYC. Maybe change careers for good. I’m not sure I want to deal with this BS anymore. I’d quit now but I have a family dependent on my salary and benefits.

Thanks tolerant left. You took my love for teaching these kids and destroyed it. Just like everything else you touch.

we are going to need teachers like yourself in our communities. Theres going to be a lot more home schooling to avoid this indoctrination.

I’d join in. I’d rather pay a teacher then a union for my child’s education.

There are more teachers who think clearly...more than you’d probably guess

Indoctrination at work, right there. As long as liberals run the schools, we don’t have a chance.

Too bad we had that useless cunt DeVoss in charge.

Leave that overpriced cesspool and take your teaching skills to a red state that would appreciate you and them.

I know, it's easy to say it, but I have actually done it. Best decision of my life.

Have you considered transferring and instructing at a Christian school? I send my son to a Christian school and absolutely love it! The curriculum is excellent; learning at a far higher level than public school peers. Being Christian, they also are being taught the values that our society sorely needs.

This could give you the ability to continue doing what you love, teach and continue to impact the lives of youth in a positive light.

Montana is RED state and just elected a great Governor. We need good teachers here and the scenery is amazing!

Did he type the word “capital” or “Capitol”? This is our education system.

You are in a prime position to fight back, metaphorically, but only if you're careful.

They used a biden quote!?! Now I'm intrigued. Was it "You know, the thing", or one of those random consonant triple compound word mashups?

Move somewhere else or teach in a private school.

shit runs downhill ladies and gentlemen...

I'm convinced this type of stuff comes down from the Federal Govt to school district superintendents to our schools. Either that or all of these school teachers are recieving their marching orders from the Borg/mothership. Here is an email I got (3 fucking times) from my son's Illinois Math & Science Academy.

Dear IMSA Community,

I feel compelled to share my shock about today's events and my dismay about what has happened at the US Capitol in Washington. I don't want to say much except to write that as an Academy with the mission of “igniting and nurturing creative, ethical, scientific minds that advance the human condition”, my hope and expectation is that our community will examine today's events, compare them to previous protests, and stand on the side of justice.

I sit here deeply disturbed viewing the images and listening to the news. Certainly, we did not expect to welcome 2021 in this manner. Yet, as we have done since March 2020, we must continue to apply the principle of what some call the Serenity Prayer:

Grant me the serenity to accept the things we cannot change; the courage to change the things we can; and the wisdom to know the difference. IMSA, let's focus on those things within our control, which include how we react to situations since we don't control these current events. I wish I could say with Van Jones "that this is the END of something. We can NEVER let this happen again." If it is to be, it is up to us!

Texas is a little warmer. Snow blowers not required.

Or, Florida. (Certain parts).

Wow, I used to live in NYC. You must be a literal saint to teach there.

Don’t leave teaching, just leave New York.

Go out with a bang and red pill all of your students. Show them thedonald.win . It would be well worth it.

Teach them that BLM was founded by Marxists and satanists, and that they burned and terrorized churches while chanting hail satan.

After that, tell them that Biden and Kamala funded them and bailed them out of jail.

Thanks for trying.

10 years ago my 'Civics' teacher in high school was a self-proclaimed socialist. It's been going on a long time.

Fight them

Talk to the people

Fuck what your boss says

Talk to them about the truth

You're a smart person

Talk to the students

They'll understand, and you seem like you know how to share the message

If you get fired just move to the next job. Fuck the liberals

Do the right thing. Ask students what they think people should have done instead of protesting to get people to hear them about something they believe was unjust.

Don’t loose the opportunity.

I’m curious what that biting quote was. I have to wonder if it’s the same line he has repeated over and over again about uniting together as Americans, not red state, not blue state, but as the United States etc.
