Yeah as a tech worker this is how we test apps internally before releasing them on the store. You have to modify your settings to allow 'third-party' or 'unknown' apps (depending on your version of Android) before hand though.
This is also how adult-content apps bypass big tech censorship. Ditch Apple!
You can get the app by searching for the .apk file itself, in your favorite search engine.
(For now) androids allow you to install apps that didn't come from the play store.

Also a Samsung user. Make sure to allow app installation from unknown sources in the settings.
