The inventor of the world wide Web was talking about making a new open system where everybody keeps their data.. that would be a better way to do social media because then each person owns their entire profile and that profile trades between accounts with websites that you would subscribe to and the APIs would work together
That way they can't hold you hostage but as far as I know a lot of these websites have an export data function so if you can do that before you exit you should
My data is not the issue. I’m unfortunately forced to use The shared workspaces, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Google Drive. I wish it was as simple as moving my files.
You can probably export your data.
