There is an emboldened nationalist-movement in europe. You just rarely see it, because they're treated like outcasts in the open. But it does exist, and it has been growing for years. They can barely fix the polls and ballots fast enough, to prevent new small parties from exploding in popularity. And those people DO seek out alt-media - just like in the US. I've personally had clients - mostly middleclass - who asked me for help in bypassing censors so they can access anti-EU sites and communicate securely with their friends.
"Trumpism" is alive and growing in europe - but it's all underground.
This has been my exact experience, you really can’t tell anything from the outside, there was a guy who I was talking too in college and I just randomly decided to make the Alex Jones gay frogs joke and he got it, we then proceeded to talk about Trump the Rothschilds and Soros.
You really can’t tell it’s all underground, I was genuinely shocked that there were more people like me in my country.
It's fucking unbearable too, if you happen to find someone based it almost feels like it was a gift from god.
We don't even have strong right wing parties here it's just social democrats vs socialists, it's becoming more and more of a debt ridden dystopia especially now with the plandemic.
Thankfully a chunk of our infrastucture was bought by our good friend Xi so our politicians could pat themselves on their back for paying back a little of the debt in exchange for selling out the country to china.
It's fucking disgusting.
And there is a lot of hatred here for one american politician of portuguese ancestry (Devin Nunes), no clue why tho.

It's been like that here in the USA for years now. Back in '16, I lost long-time friends, and it hurt like hell. But over time, I met new people, and heard plenty of similar stories - one of which was a guy whose uncle wouldn't talk to his father anymore thanks to Trump Derangement Syndrome, and passed away in the meantime.
But, plenty of time has passed, and now I say good riddance. Trump didn't take friends away, he showed me their true colors. No matter what your political opinion, you are a bona fide loser if you refuse to speak with someone solely because they don't share your politics - especially someone you've known for years.
It's because we are fed the same pop culture garbage as you guys so orange man bad is as bad here if not worse than it is in america.

I wonder how many there really are.
In the US they just do it out in the open
Jesus that's peak brainwashing.
