I have never understood why gay/lesbian couples tried to force Christian bakery store owners to bake them a wedding cake. It doesn’t make sense. Why force someone to do business with you who doesn’t want to? Why give them your money or time: two scarce resources.
The time is upon us to defund all of these companies who have made it clear we are not welcome. They have no idea how big we are. Maybe they do and don’t care. But I can tell you, if half my revenue dried up overnight, my company would be screwed. Wouldn’t most?
I have more thoughts, and I am working on an overall blueprint for us. I think we need to start looking forward. A large portion of that needs to be doing business with people who share our values, and not supporting those that actively work against us. I have seen tremendous creativity on this site and I am sure there are entrepreneurs here that could help us get to where we need to be.
My philosophy has always been that if someone does not want to work with me, let’s part ways. We should not waste a second on these businesses. We talk with our feet and our wallets. The thing is, how many will follow simply because they want to be where the action is? And since their values won’t align, they won’t have the influence they want to cancel or censor. Will be wild.
I agree. These social media companies are really beneath our contempt. It was fun in the beginning but they have made it more and more stressful as the years have gone by.
