This is a great compilation. If you have the time, a few questions:

  • Why not LastPass?
  • Thoughts on ubuntu?
  • Graphene OS is a recommendation after jailbreaking an Android phone, correct?

One more question, if you'll indulge it. I see Nord VPN tossed around a lot here and elsewhere. It seems to meet your criteria above except perhaps the third party audit. Saw on potentially dissenting article on that topic. Any thoughts?

One other security tip: if you’re using a password manager (and you must use one if you want to take this seriously), in addition to unique usernames, unique passwords (as long and complex as the given site will allow), and 2FA that isn’t text message based wherever possible, you can do one more thing to harden your logins:

Use the password generator to generate your “answer” to those security questions like “What was the name of your high school mascot?” Something like:

*MmHMPkwJJX2Ny6fBm_s.vQsiR

is never going to be guessed, researched, cross-linked, or socially engineered. Just generate new “answers” for every site, every question.

My manager allows me to add multiple sections with multiple fields per saved password entry. So I have a “Security questions” section and under it I have separate entries for each question they ask. All saved under the entry “Parler” or whatever.

Thank you. Really helpful. Looks like Graphene and Calyx both run exclusively on Pixel. Good to know for whenever I upgrade.
