They're not open source.
They don't allow anonymity (require phone numbers).
They got a lot of attention and endorsement from FOX (known traitors).
.
I hope I'm wrong. I think the more alternative platforms that thrive, the better off we are. However, I'm skeptical. We've been backstabbed too many times. Feel free to tell me I'm full of shit.

Well, that’s the thing, isn’t it? Better to create a new inter-op mechanism and let any service connect if they follow the protocol. (In fact, we already have one. It’s called HTTP)

In the meantime, we have to support MANY new sites. Honestly, this is the most exciting time since the original dot-com days.

Really? I wasn't aware of that. No social media company is getting my ID. That's for damn sure.

It was a few months ago, which I thought was rather intrusive. Maybe they changed since. I have only used Facebook, which I dropped 6 months ago. Getting paranoid in my old age.

Don't trust them its a means to an end... Use what whatever works to grow the cause, we need to fragment the information sector and using and promoting all alternatives is the best way we fight the Monopolies the Tech Oligarchy.

A true free speech forum will not require any identifying information and will permit fully anonymous accounts to operate if the user so chooses.
