They are trying to make you scared of the consequences. Trump is undergoing a modern-day crucifixion. Jesus ended up on the cross as punishment. Trump is being revoked, impeached, condemned etc. They are attempting to destroy his existence without killing him.

So when they come for you and others, and ask "Weren't you a Trump voter/supporter"?

They want to corner you to the mentality to say, "No, I never supported him".

There are huge parallels.

Once they get his supporters to condemn him, the illusion becomes reality, that no one stands by him. Then they go for the killing blow.
