He was also Trump's biggest threat in 2016, and was quite harsh to him. People didn't like that. Remember, Trump didn't leave Carson behind when they were calling out the names. The two men shook arms. That was a real bond between the two. Sleepy Ben may not have the highest stamina but he has more courage than 90% of the Republican party.
