On my own personal domain, I have been a Google Organization since it was back in the beta stages. I have a number of accounts between me and some of my family. Because I have been around for so long, the org account is grandfathered and has been free.
However, after this week’s endless charades of bullshit, I have had enough. I’m going to take a page from the Cuomo playbook and go COVID on the account.
The charge will take adjusting to, but I am going to move it all to a paid ProtonMail as soon as I get everything out of my Google drive.
I should have done this years ago.

As someone who went through the process of degoogling..I can say you are going to be shocked at how infected they are throughout everything. The honest to God only way to escape it is to move out far into the woods with literally no technology because Google will be in your life even if you don't use a single Google service. Email FROM other google users. Nest cameras that friends, people in the neighborhood, an in stores. The list goes on and on. Any non cash payments made that use Google infrastructure. Websites that rely on Google DNS, etc. etc.
