He has been blasting that 1776 is the answer to 1984 for almost a year. Then gets all bent out of shape when people took it to heart. Yeah Alex you jumped the gun a little bit because you obviously believed there was a chance for legal resolution.

Trump's communication was abhorrent. Nobody knew what they were supposed to do there or for how long, but Trump made it seem really important that they put pressure on congress or something, and then congress started certifying the nonsense and freaked them out. It probably only took a word of encouragement to get them to storm in. Not a lot of rational thinking, because nothing about it was clear to begin with.

In the game we're playing niether side is allowed to tell the truth because of the consequences that the opposing side will have access to if we do. Lines were crossed by opening those doors into the building. Was it antifa? Yeah a few. Was it pissed off people who want their right to vote back? Also yes. But you know full well why either side can't reconcile those.

People drive themselves insane by not being able to honestly acknowledge conflicting points that can both be true. Was it a good thing that citizens made their presence known and freaked out congress? Yeah, in a way. Did anything good happen? No, everything that happened that day was bad, from the corrupt Congressional session on. Should people do it again? Yeah, maybe. In hindsight it's always a bad idea, but in the moment there are only bad ideas to choose from.

Part of me believes that most people had never protested before. I hadn't. We've been forced to watch BLM all year and subconsciously think that's what you're supposed to do at a protest I guess. I agree with your statement that the world isn't consistenly paradoxical. The ironic thing here is protest or not it equaled the same outcome. Some folks saw that and it only added to the emotional rage of having their rights taken away.
