Turns out, pissing off (understatement) 75 million of your supporters is a bad move.

I don't know what their motives are, this is intentional. Betrayal is the most vile action, it physically revolting, and people do not forget betrayal.

They honestly believed/believe time will heal all wounds in two years. And "what are they gonna do, vote Democrat?" That was their calculus. It's worked for decades.

I kept my Republican registration, only because otherwise I couldn't support the next Ron Paul or Trump in the next primary. If you want to change my mind, I'm listening.

Change it now, you can register as a Republican down the road if that happens, but they need to see millions leave the party NOW. Those statistics are absolutely looked at.

Thank you! I just did precisely that, and registered as non-partisan. And I emailed the state GOP and told them why I was bailing:

I became a U.S. citizen in 2002, and literally the first thing I did was register as a Republican. Seriously, an elections volunteer approached me the moment I left the courtroom. Since then I've never missed an election, primary or general. Check the records. In fact, I've never failed to vote for a single office. And I've voted exclusively for Republican candidates.

Here is proof (imgur link) of my new affiliation. I changed it in response to the spinelessness of a party that sits idly while the governor's tyranny continues unchecked, to say nothing of standing and watching as the Democrats stole the presidential election. Have a nice day.

Yes, this is what I've done.

Unless you are planning on doing some county level party position, this is a pretty good idea.

Probably number one would be to go for County or whatever chair for a political party, Democrat or Republican. Bring MAGA to both parties. And then support MAGA candidates (of either party), and primary the challengers.

I'd live, laugh, love to see McConnell and Romney get primaried by a "Trump Republican."

And I'd be over the moon if I saw Pelosi get primaried by a "Trump Democrat"

But, if you don't have time, because of kids, job, and other demands... definitely change your party to unaffiliated, or a 3rd party. You can change your party in 2 or 4 years if a primary candidate looks interesting that you want to support.

Yes! And despite all the people saying "there are no elections anymore", "there's no 2024", etc, regardless of the next 12 days, we NEED to grind away at secure elections, it's a big hill and a heavy rock, but we need to start pushing. City counsel, Mayor, State Senators, Governors, we need to get good people in these positions. In my small town, elections are secure, we had 48 people working at our precinct to distribute, process and count 3500 ballots. Funny how places like that all around the country report 75% Trump and shitholes like Atlanta, Detroit and Philadelphia have so much fraud and come up with 90% Biden. State Senates and Governors need to fix those broken systems of mega-arena voting centers with electronic machines.

Trump supporters aren't necessarily GOP supporters, in fact i believe the MAJORITY are never voting GOP again. We are MAGA!

You guys still haven’t figured it out. They don’t need you anymore. They now know there are machines that can make them win election every time aaaannndddd no one in this country will do a damn thing about it.

We're MAGA, not Republicans. Establishment Republican think they will get the party back to "normal" and the neo-cons will assume control and everything will be peachy. They are insulated from reality. President Trump had 95% support of the party because of his policies, his personality, his actions.

The old Republican party, talking through Fox News will not recover. We are the tip of the spear, they are old dinosaurs destined for the dustbin of history.

I still think that the best way forward is to primary these swamp fuckers.

Why do people keep saying this!! They did not commit suicide. They did this on purpose and they will come out of this with a hefty check or more power. They don’t see that as a lose. They don’t care about support or votes if it wasn’t obvious enough
