I posted this over at greatawakening.win as well, but thought I'd drop it here for more visibility. I remembered seeing a magnet link to a "insurance file" posted back in July on Twitter related to Assange. I managed to track it down. Note: I do not have the file, and the magnet link is dead. What are the chances this is the file that the key Lin Wood posted a few days ago unlocks? Anyone have the file?

Perfect! Thanks! I grabbed the link in your other comment, downloading now, but it'll take quite a while.

Do we know for sure this is the same file/link in the above post? If this file has been available on WikiLeaks the whole time, something tells me it may not be the exact file we're looking for cause that almost seems too simple. Never know though, and it's probably a good thing to have archived anyway.

No clue if it IS the file, but after reading what lin linked to, its mentioned and speculated that assange insurance is filled with things that lin talked about, CP, deaths, Blackmail. If you go back to lins post, go to the cultstate website, head to discussions on the left, Ctrl+F "papacy", read more and go through the story youll understand way more.

Oh yeah I've been reading through all those threads. That's what prompted me to search for the file, and what made me remember seeing that random twitter post I had screenshotted months back, wondering if it was the file in question.

I'm wondering though, the key mentioned by Lin was said to be for Kappy's insurance file. Is Kappy's insurance file the same file as Assange's insurance file (like if they shared it with each other), or are we talking two separate files? Obviously I'm assuming the content between them would be of a similar nature.

I think we'll probably be hearing more about this in the next few days/week. With Lin releasing the key, there has got to be somebody out there with the file (here's to hoping they're still alive, and haven't lost it).

I dont know, the way Lin spoke about it, it seems like they could be the same, but as for the password used to encrypt the file, i really dont know.

I just tried to decrypt it using kali linux, Trying both the anagram and the unscambled text, Only getting "bad magic number" as a response back.

using VMware, share the folder containing the file to decrypt: https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-Workstation-Pro/12.0/com.vmware.ws.using.doc/GUID-D6D9A5FD-7F5F-4C95-AFAB-EDE9335F5562.html

Open Kali, and mount the shared folder : https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/594080/where-to-find-the-shared-folder-in-kali-linux

cd to the shared folder location cd /mnt/hgfs/{folder name}

Type the following: openssl enc -d -aes256 -in 201606-03_insurance.aes256

when prompted, try your password

I'll definitely try this once I get the file. Current speed will have it done in roughly 6 days lol, and my network speed is fine, it's the torrent itself.

VMs and Kali linux shouldn't be an issue for me, used them in the past. I've definitely noted down that openssl command though, I've never used that command specifically before.

Thanks!
