Gab has already been under sustained attack much longer than Parler and has built up a good revenue stream to fund their defences. Gab now owns their own servers which cannot be taken away. I'm assuming they formed their own ISP as well or invested into one so they cannot be disconnected from the internet. Conversely I believe Parler is still using Amazon's AWS which puts them at risk from a Jeff Bezos attack.
I agree that Parler is built on sandy ground and may lose their their foundation to the tides of change--I did not know that Gab was so well founded--Can they handle the traffic flow of all the displaced Trumpers ?
I'm sure they'd struggle a bit to ramp up to handle the increased capacity. Servers would need to be purchased and delivered to handle the additional surge in traffic. Moneywise it would seem they have the ability to purchase what's needed.
