If they've gone full fascist then we can expect them to start butchering communists in the street and driving them out of every single position of government.
Fascism and communism are two factions with the same end goal. What you're talking about is merely them settling the score on a rivalry over who could gain total control. Those ideologies were only ever vehicles for totalitarianism to take power. The reality here and now is that fascism and communism were married and used together to bring totalitarianism into power. They may have a power struggle, but communism was only ever the grassroots angle, and fascism is the one that took the actual power, so there won't be much struggle there. And the marriage is still useful to both as they want to be able to attack freedom and conservatism from every angle, which they are currently doing.
If a "rivalry" involves ruthless attacks, a complete purge from society, and having to compete for total control, then they clearly don't have the same end goal.
The marriage you're talking about applies far better to capitalism/democracy and communism. As far as "vehicles for totalitarianism to take power" goes, they're both pretty shit vehicles since overt communism requires huge civil wars and fascism requires a broken and dead nation to "revive".
Democracy just needs enough money and subversion. Or is totalitarianism alright as long as you can vote for puppet politicians in sham elections and feel like you're having a say?

So I see that you have no idea what fascism or communism is...
What I said is exactly what the fascist countries did.
