Its long been over, but its over for me now.

The people the support Biden, or pretend to hate both sides but spend their time only engaging in Anti-Trump discussion are not worth your time and effort. They're beyond reason at this point. They've either participated in dehumanizing you for the last four years, or have stood by and watched it happen, deeming it socially acceptable behavior. They will never, ever see things your way by discussion.

One of the big discussion lately is, of course, fraud. No one can deny that if the roles were reversed, they would just accept the results as fair and legitimate. If 400k vote dumps happened for Trump after counting stopped, cities would have burned. If Trump supporting poll workers had retreated to a room, disallowed entry to them and boarded up the windows, there would be riots. I did try to discuss this one last time today after months of not participating in political discourse. And you know what happened? He got mad, and replies got snarkier and snarkier despite me staying very polite and reasonable the entire time. The more logic that hit them, the more he tried to insult my intelligence. Thats your cue that discussion is pointless - and it has been for several years now.

So the last discussion I had was just me pointing out the ban waves to a Liberterian friend of mine. I made no mention of free speech, or even alluded to it being 'wrong'. It was quite simply a 'this happened today' info dump with zero discussion. A liberal friend of hers went on a multi-reply tirade (like 7 separate replies) about how free speech isnt guaranteed on social media platforms and called Trump supporters 'super bananas' and 'rabid'. But the thing is I never made any mention of any of that. I said nothing about what happened other than 'it happened'. Another cue that discussion is pointless - she pulled an argument out of nothing, and already had her mind set on what she was saying.

So the time for discussion is over. Dont engage these people any more. Let them live in their bubbles, and do not even provide them with the opportunity to feel morally and intellectually superior. It doesnt matter what you say or how dumb you make them look or how many times you prove them wrong. They will still feel righteous and morally superior in the end. You'll likely find yourself in an ever devolving spiral of moving goalposts. Any sources you have will be discredited as unacceptable, as it has been for the last 4 years.

So how did I handle these interactions? I simply said, 'ok, you're right'. Let them exist in their bubble. The only way for them to see the truth is to let them see it on their own.
