God is certainly political. He's the head of the "Everything I have ever said and done is right, as I am the source of all Good and Righteousness Party," and he runs on a platform of "I don't need to run, I'm already in charge of everything, follow my statutes and enjoy the blessings that flow from them."

And though there is a freedom of Religion in this nation, that does not make them all equal, nor can it make them all true. Most religions are mutually exclusive: If Allah is "god," then Jehovah can not be God. If Jehovah is God, Bramah can not be "god." If Christ is God, Jehovah can be God, trick question, it's the same picture. And if there is a God (There is,) He's not going to be some sort of disaffected douche who sits back like a dirty old hippie going "Hey, man, all religions are cool, man," as people slaughter each other like ignorant savages. He's going to have Truth, and people who come to that Truth willingly will be accepted into that Truth and allowed to share in its absolute bounty. Others will have the freedom to deny that truth, and go their own way. But to go any way OTHER than to the source of all life and good will invariably eventually lead AWAY from life and good. Think about it like standing in a field and walking toward a tree. If you travel on a trajectory that's just a few degrees away from it, you will continue to get closer and closer, but eventually pass it by and continuing on that trajectory will then lead you farther and farther away.

But that's all a digression. The fact remains that Christians of many different stripes founded and populated this country from the start, and we learned that our differences were less important than our unity with Christ and our shared values of hard work, self determination, and most importantly for our current national issues, FREEDOM.

And it's the Christians of TODAY who need to be educated and reminded that they need to stand into their responsibilities. Christ compared us all to his laborers in the field, to tend the crop and bring in the harvest. But we got lazy, and fat, and the fields have gone to pot and are lousy with weeds and thorns. As a Christian, I officially deputize you to get out there and (verbally, please,) kick some of my lazier brethrens' asses into getting back to work.
