They are using the social media that us older folks don’t use for more than useless shit. My son knew that it was Antifa that led the charge into the Capital building.

STEM degree
This, and as someone who did it, even stem is getting wokeified. They force you to take several bs fluff classes and I hear in some places if you study any sort of genetics they force you to attend a class that basically tells you man/woman and other factors are not based in genetics at all, they're solely cultural, which is stupid considering behavioral bio is partly about how biology influences culture.
And research that contradicts the narrative / corporate and political interests gets suppressed, especially if it touches on nutrition or climate/emissions.
Yep, STEM is being wokeified. All freshmen at a college near me are required to take an “anti racism” course. Which might be fine if it was actually an “anti racism” course, but it’s basically just an “anti white people” course
If I was still in college I would take my money back and nope the fuck out to an apprenticeship or some sort of trade school real quick.
I don't have any problem with foreign languages in the curriculum (I'd argue Spanish is handy for geographical reasons), but honestly anyone who moves to the US should have to learn English like they do to move to Australia and New Zealand. I've heard it's really questionable how well that is enforced over there, as some speak very broken English apparently, but there's no excuse for not having it as an expectation.
But Mandarin? They can fuck right off with their goals of Chinese hegemony. It's always useful to understand your enemy, but this is clearly about subservience and helping ease China's move to become the sole global power, nothing less.
You should learn a second language anyways...a lot easier to know whats being said or presented in places like China or Russia when you speak the language. The enemy of my enemy is my friend...both of those countries have huge dissident populations. Knowing some Spanish in the US is also logical. Having the ability to speak more then English is never going to harm you. The harm comes if they attempt to rid us of our language.
The vast majority of the world is bilingual. America and some folks attitude towards this is an exception in this department..not a rule and even then we have several bilingual citizens. TdLr: knowing a second language isnt anti patriotic, i'd be more concerned with their attempts to bastardize English and alter words meanings then the expectation of you taking a fucking language class like the overwhelming amount of the world has had to do at some point.
The forced second language is an example of a good tool being turned to foul purposes.
Multiple languages are a blessing, but they're currently using it to delegitimize the cultural cohesion that a common English gives us.
Here in SoCal when you see official postings printed in three different languages you have no idea what country you're in.
China is the enemy. Russia is not.
