Come for the pussy and stay for the life long debt (whether you want to or not).
You can leave college debt free or with very little debt if you are smart about it and search for scholarships while keeping your expenses low. Also if you major in a high demand career you will most certainly land a job with great benefits that will pay the rest of your debt down up to 1k a month. College is certainly necessary for STEM careers but it is a scam for the everyone else. Also for any of you young Pedes reading this, please take your studies seriously, what you take from college will make your transition to your career much smoother.
Landing a paid internship/co-op is a good way to pay off debt as well, while still in school.
