I have an Android phone. I attempted to download the Parler APK installer, and it says "can't open" when I try to open it. I've tried Brave and Chrome, and set both browers to allow installation of unknown apps. I also tried to download two different file management apps, "OI File Manager" and "Astro FIle Manager," and tried opening the file from within those apps. When I do that, it just asks me to choose a browser, which I do, and I'm back to the same step where I try to open the file from the browser and it says "can't open." Any suggestions?

Use your browser. Parler.com no app necessary
You need to allow 3rd party apps in your settings and if you have the. apk file you can install it.
Go to the website and use the web portal. Then save the page as a home screen link.
I never use apps on my cell's, have both Apple and Android, apps are a back door to mayhem, google free and open source.....Brax.Me. Privacy Focused Social Media. Open Source. https://brax.me/prod/login.php?s=nonmobile&h=robundefined
Google it, go to the actual site and start an account. I did last night. You won't get the app anywhere now that Google and Apple both took it down.
You can get the app from parler.com
Have to allow 3rd party apps.
