It's not even about hope, it makes more sense Trump is distancing himself from what's about to drop by conceding on paper and playing by the rules. He's feigning.
Whether he succeeds is anyone's guess, i think he does, but there is zero chance Trump declares that no one should ever conceded a stolen election won in a landslide, to giving up without a fight a short time later. That's completely out of character and contrary to every statement he's ever made. Makes more sense he's up to something.
