I'm not a Christian and I'm pretty liberal with the kind of society I want to live in, but somehow some fucking commies showed up and fucked all our shit up. I used to be exactly where you are. But you have to step back and ask, is it possible to have that liberal civilization that you want and not fall into utter degeneracy to the point where you are taken over? Has there ever been a strong, long lasting civilization that was liberal and Godless? Liberal societies sound good on paper, but they lack the ability to grow themselves and they do not spread their own values, therefore they are ultimately doomed to be taken over. Whether that is taken over by a decent civilization or a barbarian horde is up to geography and the times.
this is my one problem with ayn rand. objectivism is the most ethically correct philosophy imo. but like communism it is not compatible with human nature, it gives no solution for families or child rearing. its a childless philosophy. i recognize my libertarianism is only possible within my bachelor lifestyle and that if i can find a woman who isnt a progressive liberal and who is simultaneously interested in me i will have to move a few points closer to trad con to build a nest. it pisses me off that a minarchist society is not possible. globalism(not globalists) make it so that any free liberal society leaves its door open to infiltration and takeover. if you do not participate in the rat race then you will not have the military tech for your children to be free from takeover by the next empirically minded civ. trad cons are right, i just want to be free to play diablo2 without my mom throwing the disks out over their satanic message.
