It's interesting to me, the more people who have turned against religious practices that kept them orderly the further this goes along, it has drawn me more in.

Tom Holland's book "Dominion" is great reading to remind us what Christianity really is/has been.

Wha????

"There is no history to this character, it's entirely a literary creation"........ literally Roman state records say otherwise. You might disagree that a Jesus of Nazareth was a divine being, but there is no historical disagreement that a Jesus of Nazareth existed in that era.

Btw, all but one of his apostles all died horrendous deaths because they refuse to denounce him. And there are non-Christian writings backing that up.

"The Romans needed to subdue the Jews' religion"... ya, because Rome had such a history of destroying rival religions. They totally didn't constantly incorporate foreign religions into their own, even accepting outside deities as Roman ones as well. Nope. Never happened.

And there are so many more basic misconceptions, like judging early Christendom origins based on the modern perceptions of Jesus the "nice guy" (nice guys don't get crucified).

"They totally didn't constantly incorporate foreign religions into their own, even accepting outside deities as Roman ones as well. Nope. Never happened."

You mean like a messianic cult?

"There are non-Christian writings backing that up."

You mean like Josephus Flavius?

I get it. I probably would have written something like this a few years ago. Christianity relies on Old Testament teachings and Old Testament relies on the Canaanite deities.

"Render unto Caesar, that which is Caesar's" - a great passage that teaches all of us to submit to the state.

Download the video and upload it.

I use https://www.4kdownload.com/

I've used it to download most of last week's videos from RSBN, Epoch, NTD, and a few streamers. The free version gets you 30 vidoes a day, which is enough for me.

Looks like Gab is trying to make "its own internet" with alternatives to everything including YouTube. You can go to "google takeout"... not linking their stuff anymore.. all your original video files (resolution you uploaded) will be archived in 2gb - 50 gb (you choose) zips and available to download.

Just grabbed all of mine and will be mirroring those to Gab, regardless of any sort of monetization...but I'd love to build my audience there as well.

Operation Flood the Cave (yes, I picked that name on purpose): Since most of us can't just delete everything, what if we do the opposite. Can people more tech savvy than me start making programs we can use to absolutely flood the fuck out of Apple and Google with DATA so it renders their meta data and pattern prediction useless? I want a program that will just search for random things, visit random sites, maybe make them think I'm on a road trip... if they want to collect data, let's give them more than they can handle.

23
lanre 23 points ago +23 / -0

This is basically what the browser plugin ad nauseum was designed to do. Instead of restricting what data you give them, just flood them with bad data. It's much harder to deal with.

There's another one as well that will visit random sites for you in the background. I forget the name but it's out there.

Ad nauseum was censored very heavily by Google btw, proving its worth imo.

5
RentFree2020 5 points ago +5 / -0

Awesome, this is what I wanted to know. Thank you.

1
MR_ROBOT1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

Doesn't this mean they're just making an assload of money because every ad is being clicked? I'd rather starve them. Unless there's some other intention of that extension I'm missing.

4
lanre 4 points ago +4 / -0

long-term, no, because their data on consumers will become worthless. Instead of seeing that you're a 20 year old male interested in electronics, health care products, and trap music, you'll be a 20 year old male interested in everything so their advantage of targeted advertising will be destroyed.

3
MR_ROBOT1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

That makes sense, long game rather than short game. I suppose it's better than them having a small amount of accurate date on you as well. Right now, they may have a low amount of data since I use UBlock Origin but from the data they do have, they probably know we all support Trump etc. and at the rate this is going, that will make for good doxing once they decide to come for all of us.

3
Dudewho 3 points ago +3 / -0

Best path as of now is probably not buying a ready-to-go phone like pine or whatever, but maybe buying a decent cheap phone thats got decent specs and not chinese, and installing lineage or some variant OS on. Then work through the pain of the pros and cons of daily usage. Have your current phone as is in the meantime until the other is functional to a good degree. Maybe keep the other phone and have it turned off. Seems like a HUGE market now with demand at all time high for non android and apple shit.

8
VoltronGreen1981 8 points ago +8 / -0

Just buy refurbished. That and don't spend a fortune for something like a phone. Nobody on here talking about MAGA needs to be spending upwards of a grand on a god damn iPhone.

Buy used lat Gen phones off of eBay. I got my LG V40 used for a fraction of the price of new. It is completely paid off and works great. This was bought to replace my g4 that was used for many, many years. I would still be using it, but some apps needed for my recent move would not function because it was so old.

Ever tried ProtonVPN?

1
RoBatten 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, I haven't. I was on Hide My Ass until their fiasco (gave out info they said they didn't log on a user). After that, I researched more carefully and I've been on Mullvad since I found them. I personally would not use a US based VPN. Proton is Swiss based. I did use SwissVPN for a while. Proton seems ok just glancing at it.

1
jbvx 1 point ago +1 / -0

Privacy Badger is redundant on Brave, using it can harm privacy.

5
VoltronGreen1981 5 points ago +5 / -0

Tor is probably better but Brave is solid.

4
KnightKreider 4 points ago +4 / -0

Brave has built in Tor support

1
VoltronGreen1981 1 point ago +1 / -0

True. Forgot about that.

1
jbvx 1 point ago +1 / -0

Most people don't realize that tor isn't completely private. FBI, NSA, CIA control a large portion of tor exit nodes. If they want to find someone who is using tor for privacy, they can easily identify them. Darknet market users are routinely identified and arrested.

1
VoltronGreen1981 1 point ago +1 / -0

So Brave is more secure in that regard? Obviously we have to be careful what we choose to access on the internet. My web surfing habits are pretty benign.

1
FormerGraveheart 1 point ago +1 / -0

What we really need is something like a Russian tor. As you say, the NSA control enough of the exit nodes that they can identify users. It still suits the purposes of CIA spies because other countries can't compromise it, only the US. Something similar but controlled by Russia would be ideal because who cares if they can identify us as long as the US government can't?

But I doubt there exists such a thing, although there should.

1

You’re fooling yourself if you think the government doesn’t have access to everything, regardless of how hard you try to hide it.

2
OneBigMaga 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yep. Everything has to go through the internet. Most encryption has back doors for the government, even your keyboard and operating systems are spying on you. There is no privacy with digital anymore.

1
FliesTheFlag 1 point ago +1 / -0

2

Pinephone

5
deleted 5 points ago +5 / -0
5
lanre 5 points ago +5 / -0

I have one with manjaro. So far I would say not that tech savvy. Be careful opening the backplate when it first arrives (necessary to insert a sim, sd card, and get the battery working). Otherwise my biggest issue with it is the software is clunky and it basically works a half baked desktop OS masquerading as a mobile OS. Touch response is bad, UI is ok-ish, but some functions are really weird and it goes schizo every now and then.

Definitely not as good of an experience as even a gen1 iphone was, but it's got a lot going for it in terms of privacy that Google and apple don't.

2
aaaronsohn 2 points ago +2 / -0

You don't need to program anything, but you do need to know how to administer linux. Pinephone has some issues and I wouldn't call it a daily driver yet.

-1
MAGA_Centurion -1 points ago +1 / -2

Linux is not something that just works. You will need to know at least a basic level of linux admin and command line (bash) for if something starts going wrong. There's a lot of documentation for most problems that can arise. Unfortunately GUIs are one of the biggest sources of problems on Linux. Which is why it's primarily use is on servers with no GUI.

3

De-Google your Android phone for a start if that's what you're using. /e/ is a good idiot-proof solution but there's also just LineageOS + microG.

4
flustercuck 4 points ago +4 / -0

This is the route I went a few years ago. MicroG with Aurora store gives full anonymous access to Google's play store (dont forget to vpn as well). Bromite is also a badass browser with built-in add blocking similar to ublock. Youtube-vanced is pretty good too for add-free YouTube usage. After flashing lineageos, nanodroid makes it pretty easy to install everything. I have the same setup on my kid's tablets too.

Its not the easiest thing to setup but once its running, it is as close as you can get to a full on Google ecosystem without touching their auth servers. Pinephone looks pretty good too as I'm a huge KDE fan.

Big tech, including Linux and the hardware (all owned and paid for by big tech) is rotten to its core. There is no freedom and no one owns their computers anymore. Computers will be how they control each and every one of us. Just being on this site gives them enough leverage.

This is the full truth. All tech is compromised.

I don't have any evidence, so this is just speculation on my part (but, hey, that's enough for liberals, so what I'm saying must be true, right?), but when your computer/laptop/phone "sleeps", does it "dream"?

People have been lead to believe that it is some power saving mode, but I just have to question if there is more to labeling the mode "sleep mode" than people recognize.

When humans sleep, we are capable of being influenced to some degree, and, in some circumstances, information can be gained (sleep talking, etc.). Now, it doesn't matter to what degree people are affected by this, as it is only needed as an example, but... if your computer is in "sleep" mode, is it still capable of transmitting data if a backdoor is accessed? Can the minimal power mode allow for a very slow trickle of information over the net?

Again, I don't know what safeguards we have against such things, but considering that certain parts of the system are not completely off, I just have to wonder if there is some method by which computers are compromised in that manner.

6
deport_from_kekistan 6 points ago +6 / -0

Well... if your computer is “sleeping” it has powered down the hard drives and processor and is keeping power to your memory that holds your OS and everything you were doing in RAM. Some controllers and power monitoring stuff runs but in general no it doesn’t “dream”. It’s controlled by hardware so the OS is “off” until You resume. That said there’s a lot of things going on in power management and it’s completely possible for your computer to wake up and do stuff. But it’s not a big concern really. I have a computer science degree and have contributed to the Linux kernel before :)

There is a lot to unpack about managing computers in an operationally secure manner. It /can/ be done but it is very hard.

Mozilla is truely run by libtards. I'd like to switch to GNU Icecat, but boy, oh, boy, does GNU not make it easy to install that browser on mac OSX or even newbie linux distros such as Ubuntu without a PPA. Even after adding the PPA, I get error messages about a key missing. UGH

You can get your data deleted. It’s not hard. Especially due to systems Europe made them set up “right to be forgotten”. I’ve tried reactivating my account and it failed (a couple years after deleting it). I only used Facebook for a couple of years anyhow. Saw all this coming a long time ago.

If you think that information is deleted, you are extremely naive.

Edward Snowden warned us about Google and Microsoft doing this nearly a decade ago and they have never stopped. They are entities of the deepstate and their databases are basically the Senate Intelligence Committee's and FISA court's playground.

1
deport_from_kekistan 1 point ago +1 / -0

They do maintain some level of shadow profiles on people they have never even used Facebook before. You exist in their system even if you don’t want to and never created an account. They even have sophisticated advertising profiles on you. Still, they are obligated by law to delete your data and tell you everything they have. If they don’t do it, that’s in them but I am not such a cynic that I don’t think at least that part works. Shadow profiles and them keeping some data about you and your place in the social network graph is stuff EU has sued them over numerous times. 🤷‍♀️

2

No, the Google build of Android and GAPPS collect your data 24/7.

Since Android is Open Source licensed, plenty of non-Google people have worked out operating system branches that work on "Android Devices" without running Google's shitty, big brother OS.

All this has finally motivated me to move more away from big tech. Dumped a while ago netflix, backing up facebook contacts and will be deleting that soon, never had an iphone, I don't use chrome anymore, and something I've really been meaning to do for years:

Installing a Linux OS, mint or maybe tails.

5
yurimodin 5 points ago +5 / -0

I'm a gamer so Windows it is but I might do a dual boot to Xubuntu......I will at least keep a bootable USB for emergencies. I was 100% Linux for 5 years before I got back into gaming.

I'll definitely keep a dual boot going for gaming as well, but manjaro is supposed to be decent.

Yes. Close you google account and stop using all Google services. I support this. Just know that everything you have ever done or posted where you have used a google service, and google service, is saved FOREVER. You can back up, move, delete, close, etc. but the fact is that the data all belongs to Google and they keep it forever. "Terms of Service"! But, get off now and stay off. Figure out how to live without Google. It's very good advice.

I find it sad and funny how many of us cannot seem to understand what it takes to "De-Google" your life.

There is no preference box or product you can buy that will keep this corporation out of your life.

You MUST build a life that does not require internet connectedness to provide you with food, water, warmth when it is cold, relief when it is hot, entertainment and connection when you are lonely.

De-Google your life by playing an instrument with others and no longer using a cell phone or bringing it with you. If you like taking pictures, bring a phone w no contract and no connectivity and use it for taking pictures and videos you can upload later from home.

De-Google your life by doing business in person; reading paper books; buying what you need from people who make what you need as directly as possible or making it yourself.

Pay with cash. Barter. Make your life as independent as possible from anything digital or electronic.

When the lights start going out in a years time to punish political dissenters, you will be fine for the most part.

For those with android devices, here are some tips:

Because Android OS is open-source, there are community-made versions of Android that are not tied to Google or other big companies. Such versions are usually stripped of bloatware and have better privacy. LineageOS is one example. You can "degoogle" your android device without ditching Android. Here's what you need to learn, in that order:

Step 1: How to unlock bootloader (required for Step 2)

Step 2: How to flash custom recovery like TWRP (makes Step 3 easier)

Step 3. How to flash custom ROMs (LineageOS is a good alternative, but you can find more on https://forum.xda-developers.com)

Alternatives for some google apps:

  • Play Store alternative:

Aurora Store (lets you download Play Store apps without an account).

Aurora Droid (front-end for other app repositories, many of which feature open-source apps).

  • YouTube alternative:

NewPipe (lets you use YouTube and subscriptions without account, plays videos without ads)

You can find other alternatives for any platform on https://alternativeto.net

Great post. I've been busying myself the whole weekend removing myself from big tech's grasp. No point in whining about their power while continuing to support them because of "convenience".

Steps I have taken already taken or will take this weekend:

  1. Deleted my Twitter account
  2. Deleted Facebook
  3. Deleted WhatsApp and installed Signal and Threema
  4. Deleted my Gmail accounts and installed proton mail
  5. Deleted all browsers except Brave
  6. Switched my search engine to DuckDuck Go

Warning on Chrome extensions and YouTube⊗ Unfortunately, the Chrome Web Store does not allow extensions for downloading YouTube videos so we could not include this feature in the Chrome version of the extension.

You can use Video DownloadHelper to download YouTube videos on the Firefox version.

What, you didn't believe me?

Chromium-based mobile browsers like Brave usually dont have plugin-support at all. But for Android there is NewPipe (a youtube-app alternative which works without Googles APIs) and YMusic (a music player), they allow downloads from youtube.

1
Oldsoul75 1 point ago +1 / -0

Unlink everything used with Google passthrough auth and use a password manager to keep track of individual passwords for each site. Cumbersome, I know.

1
TentePede 1 point ago +1 / -0

Like iron key?, how do you retain the accounts

1
Oldsoul75 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ironkey is a physical device with a hardware encryption chip that encrypts the contents. There are online services you can use that will store your information in an encrypted container that can only be accessed by a password that you hold. When you go to access the container, its first downloaded (in encrypted form) to your device, then decrypted there with your password. When you're done with the file, it gets re-encrypted (on the device) and saved back to the cloud. If you lose the password, no one, including the company, and you, will be able to get your data. No take-backs or un-dos.

If you want control over your own info locally, and not use a cloud-based third party service, then you can either use a hardware device, as you mentioned, or roll your own version of a software encrypted file vault like KeePass, for account management, or well-vetted encryption software like VeraCrypt to store other files, on your own storage that you keep physically secure.

2
SgtReaper 2 points ago +4 / -2

What a fucking joke. Yes, i'm sure google needs your consent or some account to store data about you.

Realitycheck: Almost every site injects google into your browser, so google knows every single website you visit. Even this site requires google to register an account, so google knows everyone who has an account here.

Can you block this shit with stuff like ublock? Yeah, and it works most of the time. Problem is.... uh.... sites like TDW. Or you know: People posting commietube-links.

But hey, fixing that requires work, responsibility and understanding. No "remove gulag in three easy steps"-clickbait.

Which part about "work, responsibility and understanding" did you miss?

There is no easy solution. It can be fixed, but it requires work and cooperation. Why doesn't TDW start with its own site, by replacing recaptcha with something else, so google can no longer track users?
