That's no totally true. The hardware of Android phones are made to spy us. When you use LineageOS you cannot get rid of the Wifi triangulation and the firmware spyware. But yeah, you at least will be free from the network scanning and partially protected from Google telemetry (it depends of what apps you will install).
Incorrect. Android is an Open Source project. You just install a branch OS that's not run by Google - like Lineage OS.
