At least you can side load the Parler APK with an Android phone and you're not directly supporting Apple's gestapo tactics. Google and Apple are openly engaging in anti-trust behavior with their app stores. It has nothing to do with "protecting the public" BULLSHIT it's about censorship of Conservative voices.

Yes, you could jailbreak an iPhone but Apple profits from the sale of the iPhone with slave labor. An android can be had in several different manufacture's flavors. For heaven's sake I shouldn't have to say don't buy a Google phone.

These are just some more of the smaller things the can be done to hit them where it hurts. We have the money, we have the power both intellectually and with our armaments.

Google does FAR more spying with their platform than Apple.

While I agree on the App Store portion, unless you’re willing to completely wipe your device and installed something like Graphene OS without ANY play services, it’s a lost cause.

I switched from a Pixel to an iPhone for that reason. As soon as I started turning off several areas of Googles privacy settings, my phone started breaking in various ways app wise. They make it so it’s incredibly difficult to not have your data being collected without breaking key components, like Android Auto.

It's about Apple's hardware sales, kill them, it takes a herculean effort to rid oneself fully of either Android or IOS I agree.

So you think the highly praised apple is not spying on you more or the same as Android? They know alot of people are going to get parlor after what they did thats why they took it down. Do you think many people know what Parlor is? They are a threat to Twitter and they know that because they are spying on you

Apple does not do it to the degree Google does. This has been proven by many security experts. You can easily tell by how much outgoing data is coming from your phone using packet sniffing.

That said, no, both companies can’t be trusted. However if you use a phone for business good fucking luck getting away with anything that isn’t those two companies. No common joe is going to root their phone and install Graphene OS, or go buy a privacy phone.

Right now Apple is the lesser of two evils.
