The problem is the same as with politics. You may not care about big tech, but big tech cares about you. If you don't stay involved you won't be able to just go fishing. Try ignoring a murderer or rapist and see how that goes.
I’m not saying ignore the murderer or rapist. Know who they are do your best to avoid them. If they come a knocking deal with them.
